Wolf Making Sausages Providing education towards a resilient future is one of our goals in life. We run a variety of workshops - lots of them with the support of Kaiwaka Organics, formerly known as Koanga Gardens. Currently we offer Cheese Making, Sausage Making, Bread Making and Pizza Oven building. We have recently run a couple of new workshops, one on scything, one on reducing your energy consumption and one on cooking from scratch/nutrient dense food. all three workshops have been well received and we will certainly offer them again.
Please check the Kaiwaka Organics website for more info on these and also for the dates and availability of spaces, as they do all the enrolment for these workshops. http://www.kaiwakaorganics.co.nz For longer learning opportunities please check under Internship and WWOOFing.
We have been involved in teaching parts of the Permaculture Design Course here at the Otamatea Eco Village and also at Rainbow Valley farm in Matakana for years. Our input gives a good indication of our strengths and interests. Our input was predominantly in the following areas: - Principles of Permaculture Design,
- Invisible structures,
- Alternative monetary systems,
- Map reading and designing with the overlay method,
- Reading the landscape and earth moving,
- Small and large animals,
- Developing community – exploring the people side of things.
Developing community and learning how to live and work with each other co-operatively is an area we are very interested in, as we believe in the importance of creating sustainable relationships. We are both group facilitators and have substantial experience in working with people from many different walks of life. We are happy to design a workshop to fit your needs, for a group as well as individuals – do get in touch so we can develop a programme or workshop which will work for you and/or your group.
