We are offering our open plan, spacious studio with loft sleeping as a place for short term and holiday stay. The studio is a private, quiet and secluded place with rustic charm and a warm and cosy feel. It also smells good, due to being an eco building with thick earthen walls with only natural materials for the interior furnishings, simple decorations and a sampling of NZ artists on the walls.

This can be a home away from home, a place to retreat, relax, unwind or as a base from which you want to explore the beauty of our natural New Zealand environment.

p1040198There are easily accessible walks in the immediate environment of the Otamatea Eco Village, along the Brynderwyn Hills extending east-west across the Northland Peninsula and many walks near Mangawhai. We are also close enough to enjoy day trips the Kaipara Harbour or markets and beaches on the East Coast. Your choices are endless.

Pukahu is WiFi free and cell phone reception is very limited (if you walk up the hill you may get reception), so this offers the perfect opportunity to get away from it all.

There is a comfortable queen size bed on the mezzanine floor and on the ground floor you find a kitchenette, a wood burner fire and the sitting area. One of the sofas (futon) can be turned into another bed if needed. It is great for 2 people and possible for 3. The studio is self contained with an adjoining bathroom and dry composting toilet.

A private outdoor sitting area for you to enjoy in the warmer weather is right next to the studio.
