Welcome to Pukahu
Pukahu is the name of our little farmlet within the Otamatea Eco Village, situated on a beautiful peninsula in the Kaipara Harbour near Kaiwaka in New Zealand.
Accommodation
We offer an open plan, spacious studio loft for short term and holiday stay. The studio is private, quiet and secluded. With rustic charm and a warm and cosy feel.
Buildings
Our barn/workshop and house are based on the principles of a good ecological Permaculture design
Food
Following the Permaculture design principles we are working towards a high degree of self sufficiency in our food supply.

About Us
Wolfgang and Sabine
We immigrated to ‘the land of the long white cloud’ in 1987, coming from Germany.
Wolf: I have trained and worked as a veterinarian in Germany. In New Zealand I worked initially with the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries and then started my own business as a consultant for the food industry.
Sabine: I have trained and worked as a secondary school teacher in Germany. Since living and working in NZ I have been involved in many different work environments, from the tourism and hospitality industry to language teaching for adults, administrative and organisational work. I have a Diploma in Facilitation, a skill which I deemed necessary for working with groups of people.
